Steps:
• Navigate close to the user name in the Club User window by typing the initials of the user name. For example, to search for Michael Jordan, type "MJ" or "M".
• Sign in to play using any of the following methods:
• Double-click the name.
• Drag the name from the "Club Users" window and drop it into the "Waiting Players" window.
• Right-click the name and choose the "Sign In" menu item.
Notes:
• A Club User must sign in for BC4E to include them in match arrangements (as a Player).
• For a new Club User, the operator must add the user (see "Add Club User"). When updating the user's profile, the user will also sign in.
Notes:
• BC4E automatically arranges matches for signed-in players. New matches have a light green background, while started matches have a white background.
• When the current session ends, a bell will ring, signaling the start of the next session (after a short break).
• Players should check the new match arrangements on the big screen during the break and play at the assigned court.
• Since the bell only rings at the end of a session, it is important to have a Warm-Up session before the first match.
Notes:
• When the bell rings, players on the courts should stop playing and check for new matches. New matches have a light green background.
• Started matches will have their timer (red) activated. (In Auto Mode, the timer shows the remaining time; in Sync/Async Mode, it shows the duration.)
Steps:
• Find your name in the Players' Windows (either the Waiting Players Window or the Court Windows).
• Right-click your name and choose the "Take a break" menu item from the popup window.
Notes:
• BC4E will exclude you from the next match arrangement and automatically include you in the following one.
Steps:
• Find your name in the Players' Windows (either the Waiting Players Window or the Court Windows).
• Leave or sign out using any of the following methods:
• Double-click the name.
• Drag the name from the Players' Window and drop it into the "Club Users" Window.
• Right-click the name and choose the "Leave" menu item.
Notes:
• If you leave the club before it ends, remember to sign out. Otherwise, BC4E will continue to arrange matches for you, which may cause issues for other players.
Steps:
• Select 2–4 players by holding the Ctrl key and clicking each name in the Courts or Waiting Players Windows.
• Right-click any name in the selection and choose the "Pair Together" menu item from the popup menu.
Notes:
• BC4E will arrange matches for the group of paired players to play together as much as possible by default.
• Only players with the same match count can be paired together, as per the Fair Play rule of equal match count.
• You can specify the percentage of matches the group plays together by:
• In the Waiting Players Window, click the Group Number for any player in the group and select the percentage of matches together.
Steps:
• Find any player name in the paired group.
• Right-click the name and choose the "Unpair" menu item from the popup menu.
Steps:
• Right-click the court -> choose "Manage Court" -> choose "Reserve Court".
Notes:
• Clubs can reserve courts for other purposes, preventing BC4E from arranging matches on them.
• Court reservations are temporary and only apply to the current club run.
• A reserved court will display "Reserved" in the background.
Steps:
• Right-click the reserved court -> choose "Manage Court" -> choose "Release Court".
Notes:
• This makes the reserved court available for match arrangements again.
Steps:
• Find the player name to exclude.
• Right-click the name and choose the "Exclude" menu item from the popup menu.
Notes:
• Excluded players will not be included in BC4E match arrangements. They can be manually included later.
• "Take a break" is a special case of "Exclude." The player will be automatically included after the break.
Steps:
• Find the player name to include.
• Right-click the name and choose the "Include" menu item from the popup menu.
Notes:
• After inclusion, the player will be treated like any other player in BC4E match arrangements.
Steps:
• Find one of the two players you want to swap.
• Drag and drop their name onto the other player's name to swap.
Notes:
• Depending on the match adjustment settings, matches may only be adjustable within a certain time period.
• The "Chg" indicator in the main window will show a green tick if matches are currently adjustable.
• Normally, only swap players who are currently in matches. Swapping a waiting player with a player on the court overrides the Fair Play rule.
Steps:
• Choose "Run" -> "Clear All Courts" from the main operation window when the "Clr" indicator shows a green tick.
• Drag a player name from the Waiting Players Window and drop it onto the court where you want to arrange a match.
• Repeat the step above until four players are added to the court.
Notes:
• It is important to "Clear All Courts" rather than "Delete" matches, as the latter removes them from match history entirely.
• "Clear All Courts" makes all courts available for new matches while keeping the original matches in the match history.
Steps:
• In Auto Mode, choose "Run" -> "Switch Off Auto Pick." BC4E will stop arranging new matches automatically.
Or:
• In Sync/Async Mode, choose "Run" -> "Stop All Matches" or do nothing, as match arrangements are manually initiated.
Notes:
• Clubs may pause for events like AGMs or year-end celebrations and resume afterward.
• If players start signing in after the club's start time, pause the club until all players have signed in. Otherwise, BC4E will arrange matches for every four players as they sign in.
Steps:
• In Auto Mode, choose "Run" -> "Switch On Auto Pick." BC4E will resume arranging matches automatically.
Or:
• In Sync/Async Mode, no specific action is needed. The operator can start arranging matches as usual.
Steps:
• Choose "Report" -> "Player Match Report" from the main window.
Notes:
• Numbers in the Match History Report represent match session sequence numbers.
• The values at the intersection of "Player Name" and "Match Session Number" indicate the court number where the player played.
• If the court number cell has a colorful background, it means the players were paired for the match. The same color indicates the same group.
