Problem Details and Solutions

Root Cause: No Response When Starting Setup.exe

Root Cause: The setup application cannot find required files or dependencies.

Possible Causes:

  • ZIP file not extracted properly - files and folder structure missing
  • Files extracted to Windows Download folder with overly long paths
  • Missing Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) component

Fix: No Response When Starting Setup.exe

Solutions:

  • Right-click the downloaded ZIP file and select "Extract All" to a temporary folder with a short path
  • Copy the extracted BC4E folder to C:\ drive root directory and run setup.exe from there
  • Install Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) from the System Requirements section on the Download page

Possible Causes:

  • Corrupted BC4E.exe.config file (C:\BC4E\BC4E.exe.config)

Fix: Application Configuration Exception

Solutions:

  • Replace the corrupted file with the original from the download package or delete the corrupted file

Root Cause: Data loading error prevented proper window resizing.

  • BC4E encountered errors when loading club data

  • Invalid club user names (empty names or names with special characters)

  • Delete invalid user names found in "Admin → User Profile" window

  • Players View selected instead of Court View

  • Change all screen views to Court View via "View → Court View"

  • No active schedule for current day and time
  • Incorrect Windows date or time settings
  • Auto Pick switched off
  • BC4E missed next pick time due to user operation interference

Fix: No Automatic Match Creation

Solutions:

  • Add an active schedule for current day and time
  • Adjust Windows date and time settings correctly
  • Enable Auto Pick via "Run → Switch on Auto Pick"
  • Manually initiate match making via "Run → Arrange New"
